Six-sided stoneware vase from the ej64 series, designed by einar johansen in 1964 for søholm stentøj in bornholm, denmark. This vase is decorated on all six sides with a series of pastilles and covered with a shiny blue glaze with metallic highlights, designed by svend aage jensen. This glaze ranges from darkest blue to lightest, with an underlying caramel color. The shoulder and neck of this vase are covered in a matte black, slightly grainy finish, contrasting with the glossy glaze of the body and mouth. This piece, which is in perfect condition, is signed under the base: søholm denmark stentøj, model number 3347 and the initials "ej" for einar johansen.
