Beautiful camphor chest. Beautiful light warm colour. In perfect condition. Can be used as a coffee table. In the 18th and 19th centuries, camphor chests were used to transport tea, silk and porcelain from China to Europe and America. Camphor wood has a fresh scent that resembles eucalyptus and is a natural repellent against moths. Camphor chests were also used to store blankets, bedding, clothing and papers. Origin: Asia.
