Superb 19th-century marine chest made of camphor wood, featuring double locks and a camphor wood top. Double-lock chests are the rarest. Furthermore, it is uncommon to find them still with their original camphor wood top, which served as storage at the time. This chest is from the English navy, with its typical brass fittings and protection, as well as carrying handles on the side. There is a beautiful flame in the wood, which is camphor wood. It is a lovely wood that was used at the time because camphor is resistant to woodworm. The camphor has a stunning flame, and all sides are made from a single piece. These chests were used on English navy ships. A marine chest, known as a campaign chest from the 19th century, is both striking and functional, offering excellent storage space and a significant decorative impact. It has a superb patina and is in perfect condition.
