Barcelona Lounge Chairs attributed to Mies Van Der Rohe for Knoll International, 1980s, Set of 2

Vintage Design Early edition Barcelona chairs in black leather, attributed to Mies van der Rohe for Knoll International. Originally designed in 1926 for the International Exposition, the Barcelona chair was reconfigured in 1950 from a two-part bolted frame to a single stainless steel frame, as seen here. Knoll has continued production from 1953 to the present, and lists this chair as one of the most recognized objects of the last century. Produced in the 1980s in Italy, attributed to icon Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. These chairs are in very good condition, showing slight traces of use consistent with their age.
