A vintage oil painting created by Peter Robert Keil at the end of the 20th century. The painting depicts a coloured, abstract and stylised human face in profile, turned to the right. The style is bold and expressive, with exaggerated features, bright colours, and thick black outlines. The background is primarily blue with overlapping brush strokes. It is unframed and in good condition. Peter Robert Keil (born in 1942) is a German painter and sculptor. At the beginning of his artistic career, he stylistically leaned towards German expressionism. With his stay in Paris in the early 1960s, his style evolved towards a more spontaneous and dynamic approach, which he later developed in London and finally within the Berlin Neue Wilde movement in the early 1980s. Keil often used intense, garish colours and eschewed realism. The colour in his paintings is applied with quick brush strokes and sometimes in impasto, and the patterns in his works are often altered by graffiti elements.
