Pair of Lounge Armchairs S10 "Sahara" (Range X) by Pierre Chapo

For collectors and enthusiasts of 20th-century design, selling a pair of S10 "Sahara" armchairs (X range), designed by French cabinetmaker Pierre Chapo in the 1960s. Traditional whistle joint assembly system (template 48×72) perfectly fitted, stable, and with no play. The seat, the suspended belt armrests, and the backrest are made of new thick saddle leather, with one restored to its original condition (fawn/cognac colour). The backrest is swivel and adjusts perfectly to the position of the back thanks to its original wooden articulated axis at the back, providing optimal comfort. The second armchair has slight pitting and scattered signs of use related to its age on the seat and backrest. The original saddle leather remains extremely thick, firm, healthy, and retains all its mechanical strength.
