Mid-Century Snow floor lamp by Vico Magistretti for Oluce, 1970s

This is a very rare floor lamp from the Italian manufacturer Oluce, designed by Vico Magistretti in the early 1970s. A striking feature of this lamp is its marked contrast between black and white. Another particularity lies in the shape of the lampshade, the stem, and the base, which makes this lamp particularly elegant. The large translucent acrylic lampshade rests freely on the spherical dome of the lamp, revealing part of the black sphere that forms a black finish at the top. The base is made of Carrara marble. This is the rare and original version with a conical design. A successful detail is the transition between the metal stem and the base, achieved with a shadow effect.
