Ancient Japanese tea service Phoenix Decor – Early 20th century

Superb porcelain set from Seto, authentically made in Japan during the Meiji/Taishō era. This service includes a teapot and its five cups with a finely crafted blue and white "Phoenix" (Hō-ō) design. The signature "Dai Nippon" under the base attests to its provenance. In excellent condition, a small chip is noted on the side of the teapot (see close-up), which does not detract from its charm.
