Prestigious thick pressed glass centrepiece, an authentic masterpiece from the Croatian manufacturer STS Abel Zagreb (United Glassworks), produced between the late 1920s and early 1930s. This example stands out for its extraordinary chromatic rendering of the Lithyalin (or Marmorite) technique: a swirling "Onyx" pattern in deep tones of black, amber, and cream that strikingly imitates the veins of natural agate. An icon of Central European Art Deco taste, its design combines a flared body with a scalloped edge and a solid fan-shaped base. It is enhanced by two rare sculptural handles representing stylised doves. A piece with a strong visual and tactile impact, perfect as a statement element in a refined interior or to enrich a collection of period glassware.
