Suspension by Louis Christiaan Kalff for Philips, circa 1960

Suspension designed by Louis Christiaan Kalff for Philips around 1960. The light fixture consists of a large circular lampshade made of translucent beige fibreglass, whose material reveals irregular fibres. Its slightly domed shape is paired with a central diffuser in white opal glass, topped with a black and white lacquered metal element. The diffuser has a trace of old restoration on its upper part, which is not very visible. Height of 120 cm in the version presented. Edition: Philips, Netherlands, circa 1960.
