Painting "Bay in Brittany, Trezguen" Felix Choisnard 1846 / 1924 Impressionist

Painting made in oil on embedded canvas (period, key frame) signed by the hand of felix choisnard (1846/1924), artist born in valencia who worked in the wake of the impressionists. Landscape painter, his repertoire remains to be discovered. Friend and pupil of lansyer, (who is 11 years older than him), he follows him on many trips, putting their easel in the same places. But if lansyer was trained by courbet, and gave great importance to the living, félix choisnard preferred to focus on the landscape, and in particular the breton coast. The work here for sale is in a very good state of conservation, signed and annotated in ink on the chassis. Sold with its period frame (probably formerly repainted but perfectly suited to this painting). Chassis dimension: 16/24 cm, with frame: 39/47 cm.
