The six Terre de Fer plates we are offering are part of the Catinat pattern from the Bourgeois pottery. This pattern features a delicate floral design with clovers, leaves, and flowers. The stamps are visible on the base. Emile Bourgeois (1832-1926) was the founder of Le Grand Dépôt (1862), located on Rue Drouot in Paris. This store, nicknamed "The Palace of the Arts of Fire, " was famous for its objets d'art, ceramics, earthenware, and crystal, which it sold to a wealthy clientele. These plates are in remarkable condition, despite dating from the late 19th century. They have no cracks or chips, and the earthenware is unstained. Diameter: 24 cm. Weight: 2.7 kg.
