Thonet S34 leather cantilever set of 4 by Mart Stam

These 4 thonet s34 black leather cantilever chairs are in very nice condition with a very attractive light patina. The thick leather seat and backrests show only slight signs of wear. The chromed tubular frames of the chairs have a beautiful sheen. The armrests of the chairs are made of black wood with minimal signs of wear. Mart stam designed this bauhaus classic in collaboration with marcel breuer. The german manufacturer thonet, which has been producing first-class quality wooden furniture since 1819, took over the production of these bauhaus models. The chairs probably date from the 1970s/1980s.
