Large elongated tribal mask, Papua New Guinea

Large elongated tribal mask, with an ovoid forehead, sculpted and painted by hand (natural pigments), with a headdress decorated with shells (cowries) and feathers and a crocodile coming out of the mouth. Region: sepik, papua new guinea. Material: wood, natural fibers, feathers, shells (including cowrie shells or porcelain money), natural pigments in dark tones. Period: end of the 20th century. Height: approximately 78 cm. Width: 20 cm maximum. Good condition (slightly damaged on the crocodile).
