Antique mirror, gilded frame, circa 1830

Antique/vintage gilt framed mirror, circa 1830. The mirror dates from the early 19th century. This is a period mirror and not a later style piece. It is specifically from the restoration period (1814-1830). The design and patterns and mounting are typical of the period. The frame is made of wood and covered in "stucco"/gesso and has carved floral decorations on the corners, sides, top and bottom (see photos). The mirror is in good original condition overall for a piece of this age. Of course some signs and marks of age and time, patina and discoloration on the overall structure, very light small losses on the frame and mirror (see several photos). The frame of the mirror has certainly been regilded at some point in the past. Old traces of the plate visible on the sides (see photos). The parquet (back) is original. The rope is the one that was present at the time of purchase and can be replaced if necessary. There are no cracks or chips on the mirror. Some old marks (pitting) on the mirror l. (see photos).
