Here are two engravings printed on old-style laid paper from editions d'art daniel derveaux. This company, which has existed since 1933, is today managed by the grandson of daniel derveaux, and still prints today the engravings made by his grandfather from 1933 and by his father from 1982. These have was produced by daniel derveaux and given the old appearance (thick glass, frame placed on top without interlocking) and the condition of the frames (not supplied with the engravings because the glasses and frames are damaged), their printing must not be recent, perhaps be in the 60s or even earlier. They represent soldiers of the 1st empire, under napoleon, an aide-de-camp to the major general and a hunter on horseback. They are in good general condition, colors still very bright, no tears or gaps, but do not hide some signs of their age: the paper has very slightly darkened (visible by comparison with the peripheral part which was hidden under the frame which is is slightly lighter), tiny darker dots (perhaps original on the laid paper?), some borders are very slightly worn or stained (invisible once put back in the frame). They measure 37.5 cm by 26.5 cm.
