Superb oil on canvas depicting a snowy landscape, signed H.O55 (1955). Very beautiful execution, free yet controlled brushwork, neither naive nor strictly academic. The trees are constructed with quick, lively strokes. The water is treated with broad horizontal sweeps. A balanced composition, without seeking a spectacular effect. Overall good condition, a true favourite.
