Very pretty little antique ironstone cup, adorned with an elegant Japonaiserie design featuring flowering and leafy branches, accompanied by a sinuous blue ribbon, in shades of blue, turquoise, mauve, and brown. The decoration appears to be partly printed, with polychrome highlights painted by hand. A beautiful brown geometric frieze runs around the entire upper rim, as well as a small decoration on the handle. This piece is likely dateable to the late 19th / early 20th century, in the spirit of the productions from Sarreguemines and the major European earthenware factories of that period. There is a small inscription painted in red under the base. A lovely antique piece, very decorative, with a beautiful Japonaiserie design typical of the late 19th century. Overall good condition considering its age. There is an old patina, some crazing in the glaze, and a few slightly granular areas in places. No major chips or visible cracks. Dimensions: height 7 cm, upper diameter 6 cm, base diameter 7 cm. Weight: approximately 100 g.
