Set of 3 japanese kokeshi dolls

Originating from the northern region of japan, kokeshi are dolls representing little girls, carved on wood. They are then decorated by hand and lacquered. These limbless statuettes date back to the beginning of the 19th century (end of the edo era). They are recognizable by their cylindrical body, their rounded head and their multicolored patterns. This set of 3 dolls is composed as follows: the first measures 42 cm for a head diameter of 11 cm the second measures 37.5 cm for a head diameter of 9.5 cm the third measures 32 cm for a head diameter 9.5 cm they are in good condition and very decorative due to their large sizes.
