AEO armchair model 6503 by Paolo Deganello for Archizoom Associati, produced by Cassina, 1970s. Created in 1973, this iconic armchair combines a tubular metal frame, rigid polyurethane armrests and removable cushions upholstered in fabric, in a radical approach to industrial and modular design. The last armchair designed by the Archizoom Associati Collective, the AEO embodies an anti-conformist vision of furniture, typical of Italian design of the 1970s. In good vintage condition, this rare piece illustrates both the formal audacity of the radical movement and the expertise of the Cassina manufacturer. DV4139.
