This set of five flat plates in fine earthenware "ironstone" showcases the craftsmanship of the renowned Creil and Montereau factory, a key reference in French ceramics from the 19th to early 20th century. The Crémone model is distinguished by its printed decoration in the centre, featuring an elegant motif of intertwined irises in the Art Nouveau style, highlighted with sinuous ribbons and scattered small flowers. The rim is adorned with a continuous frieze of stylised vegetal scrolls, characteristic of the fin-de-siècle decorative repertoire, punctuated by discreet floral motifs / 3 different decorations. The blue monochrome on an ivory background, achieved through printing on fine earthenware, lends the set a sober and timeless elegance, in line with the great decorative series of the factory.
