Pair of bedside tables or nightstands in Transition or Louis XV style, probably made in the mid-20th century. The classic French style is recognised by the curved legs ending in small scrolls, as well as the curved lines of the lower crossbar and the top. Each table has a small drawer at the top and an open niche/cubby below. The top is surrounded by a wooden gallery on three sides, which is typical of old dressing tables or bedside tables to prevent items from falling. There is a difference in colour due to different usage. They are made of solid wood, probably oak. Good condition and high-quality craftsmanship.
