Pair of bedside tables, Louis XV style in rosewood.

Pair of vintage bedside tables in Louis XV style, transitioning to Louis XVI, circa 1940s/1950s. The tables are made of beech with rosewood veneer marquetry on the tops, fronts, sides, and backs. The tops also feature a superb floral decoration typical of the period. They rest on long, slender, slightly curved legs, allowing them to fit easily into tight spaces. Each has a storage space (dimensions: L 31 cm x D 27 cm x H 17 cm). Above this space is a functional drawer, equipped with its original knobs (dimensions: L 29 cm x D 24 cm x H 3.5 cm). The overall condition is good, with some light marks and signs of use due to age, as well as a natural patina on the structure (tops, legs, sides, fronts, drawers, storage spaces, and back panels - see photos). Some areas show slight discolouration (see photos). There are a few tiny veneer chips on the edges of the fronts (see photos). Note: A mark or old repair is visible on the lower edge of the storage space of the left bedside table, as well as an old repair on the left back of the right bedside table; these defects are not visible once the furniture is in place. These pieces are solid, stable, and practical. All photos were taken outdoors in natural light; colours may therefore vary depending on brightness, reflections, the angle of the stone wall, and the viewing angle. Exact height: 73.5 cm.
