Persian carpet Ispahan Najafabad 300x200 cm

This antique Persian carpet, made around 1940 in the Isfahan region, is a beautiful example of the traditional work associated with the province of Najafabad. It features a deep red field adorned with a dense network of ivory, blue, and black floral motifs and scrolls, organised around a finely drawn central star medallion. The overall composition is harmonious and elegant, characteristic of carpets from this provenance. The border, structured in several registers, alternates shades of blue, ivory, and red, each decorated with stylised flowers and vegetal scrolls, adding richness and depth to the piece. The balance between the colours and the precision of the motifs reflects the aesthetic refinement of this type of production from the early 20th century. Dimensions: 300x200 cm. Condition: used, with small white wool spots scattered across the entire carpet. Some wear is present, and the fringes show slight loss, all of which is visible in the photos. Abrashes on the border. Despite these signs of age, the carpet remains solid and in good overall condition, fully retaining its decorative appeal and vintage character.
