Masterpiece! Sublime authentic Persian rug originating from the Kerman region (Iran), entirely hand-knotted with a remarkable knot density. Rare and impressive dimensions of 290 X 400 cm. Origin: Iran (Kerman) Material: High-quality lambswool velvet (very soft to the touch), cotton warp and weft. Colours: Raspberry/garance red, royal blue, azure blue, with touches of beige/ivory. Patterns: Extremely intricate central star medallion, floral scrolls, and refined borders. Condition: Very good vintage condition. The wool is well-provided, the colours are vibrant, and the knotting is impeccably preserved. Original cotton fringes, complete but showing slight irregularity in length due to age. Well-provided wool velvet with a very subtle patina of use in the centre, typical of antique pieces, not affecting the vibrancy of the colours.
