Coffee table by Gerard Guermonprez 1950-60

Coffee table from the 1950s-60s attributed to the designer Gerard Guermonprez. (see reference catalog - last photo) Rectangular top in clear glass with rounded corners, placed on a black lacquered wrought iron structure and magazine rack in rigitulle (openwork metal) This table has often been attributed to Mathieu Mategot in the auction room but we prefer to attribute it to Gérard Guermonprez. It is in very good condition. The brass cabochons are surrounded by leather. The glass is the original glass. It has no lack, cracks or other. Note, light marks of use on the top.
