Ashanti terracotta head (Ghana)

Ashanti (or Asante) terracotta head, a traditional sculpture originating from the Ashanti people, who are part of the Akan of Ghana. Height: 22 cm. Width 17 cm. Unique product. Note a slight loss of material on the left side at the bottom (see photo) These terracotta heads are objects of great cultural and historical value, reflecting the importance of ancestors and collective memory in Ashanti society.
