Art Deco trade counter – Display case and drawers – Stained mahogany wood – A

Large commercial counter from the interwar period, Art Deco style, made of solid mahogany-stained wood, originally intended for the display of hats and accessories. The lower central section, approximately 3 metres long, is equipped with a front display case with two sliding glass doors, framed by moulded panels. The upper wooden top features pronounced grain. The whole rests on a moulded base. On the side, an independent vertical cabinet (H. 102 cm, L. 42 cm) contains 8 graduated drawers fitted with metal handles with a diamond pattern, typical of the Art Deco vocabulary – presumably intended for the display of gloves or small accessories. Overall condition is consistent with period commercial furniture: varnish needs attention throughout, with scratches and general wear. Restoration of the varnish can be carried out on request by our workshops. Counter dimensions: H. 80 cm – L. 262 cm. Cabinet dimensions: H. 102 cm – L. 42 cm. Weight: approximately 120 kg.
