Vintage Bouillotte Lamp in Bronze – Empire/Directoire Style – Signed F.B.

Superb classic bouillotte lamp with three lights from the vintage era (mid-20th century). The solid bronze/brass base features three elegant light arms and rests on a traditional saucer base. The painted tin lampshade in empire green is adorned with a delicate golden frieze of laurel leaves. It is height-adjustable thanks to its original arrow-shaped key. Authenticity details: The central saucer of the lampshade bears the engraved mention "MADE IN FRANCE", the initials of the artistic bronzier "F.B", as well as a model/mould number (622/629). Condition: In very good overall aesthetic condition with a superb patina of time. Original functional electricity with its twisted golden fabric cord and period Bakelite plug. The painted tin lampshade shows slight and charming signs of oxidation, witnesses of its authenticity and age. This natural patina gives it all its vintage charm.
