Edwardian furniture refers to English furniture from the early 20th century, roughly between 1900 and 1910. They have a very distinctive look, often made of mahogany and finely varnished. This small three-drawer chest is perfectly of its time, with its superb varnished mahogany, featuring a very deep, dense, and at the same time luminous patina. It is in its original patina, and the contrast with the beautiful brass handles is striking. It has a warm quality in its proportions and lovely curves, particularly at the thick lower plinth, the uprights, or the cornice of the top. The three drawers work very well. The first still has its original lock, stamped LEVER. The key is missing. This charming little piece of furniture has had several lives before us, and it bears traces of them: a few superficial scratches on the top, some missing varnish on the plinth or corners, small filled cracks on the right side, or a slightly warped top (see photos). Nevertheless, it remains perfectly stable, solid, and functional. And above all... What a presence! Perfect for a bedroom, living room, or hallway. H: 80 cm. W: 64 cm. D: 46.5 cm. The price is firm, thank you. Delivery possible in Île-de-France and ground floor for 40 euros.
