Pitch pine weekly planner, Art Nouveau period – Early 20th century

This seven-drawer chest made of pitch pine consists of seven drawers, the first of which is shorter. The drawer fronts are carved with horizontal grooves, adding rhythm and texture to the overall effect. Each drawer is adorned with openwork drop handles in scrolled shapes, adding a touch of character to the piece. The uprights and crosspieces are carved with fluting, reinforcing the chest's slender appearance while demonstrating meticulous craftsmanship. The chest rests on two spinning top feet at the front, giving the piece elegant stability and a balanced silhouette.
