Beautiful pair of Italian ceramic pitchers, glazed and hand-painted, from the Perugia region (Umbria), a renowned centre for Italian majolica. Marine decor featuring an old sailing ship navigating on a stylised sea, in vibrant shades of emerald green, bright yellow, deep blue, and touches of red. Each piece features: • a curved shape with a pronounced spout. • a generous handle. • hand-painted decoration. • a celadon green glazed interior. Handwritten marking under the base: “Perugia Italy 60”, indicating production from the 1960s. Condition. Good overall condition. Slight signs of age and small glazing irregularities typical of handcrafted work. No visible cracks or restorations. Very decorative as a pair, perfect as vases or as collectible items for enthusiasts of vintage Italian ceramics.
