Art-populaire workshop stool in patinated painted wood

The stool is in good condition, no breakage or missing. It consists of an assembly of large boards 2 cm thick that have been nailed together, in a rather simple and rustic way by some skilled handyman. It is stable and solid. The patina is original, the paint, worn by use is marked, scratched, and reveals the wood in places, which creates very beautiful effects of materials. The feet are yellow, while the top of the stool had been painted a different color, a brown quite close to the color of wood. The stool has been waxed with natural beeswax, in order to preserve and protect the beautiful patina, which gives it a crazy charm. For maintenance, it will be enough to rub it from time to time with a soft cloth. The seat height is slightly higher than the standard seat height of a chair, but the stool can still be used as a booster seat. It will also serve as a sofa end, a harness for a plant, for example or a small side table... French art-popular production of the second half of the twentieth century.
