Set of three blown glass vases from the Gulvvase series, designed by Otto Brauer for Holmegaard in Denmark in the 1960s. The three pieces feature the characteristic silhouette of the model: a cylindrical body with rounded shoulders, extended by a long straight neck ending in a wide flared lip. The set consists of two amethyst purple vases and one blue vase. The three vases come from the same set of Holmegaard pieces, several of which still retained their original labels, allowing for the certain identification of this series as a production by Otto Brauer for Holmegaard. The glass, slightly transparent, reveals shades ranging from smoky purple to mauve for the two amethyst examples, and from light blue to a deeper blue for the third.
