Pair of walnut armchairs – Louis XIII style – Turned and carved wood - 19th century Beautiful pair of large walnut armchairs in the Louis XIII style, featuring an elegant structure made of turned and carved wood. The armchairs rest on four turned legs connected by an H-shaped stretcher, with a heavily turned front rail. The armrests, particularly decorative, are carved with leaf motifs and end in generous scrolls. They are supported by turned uprights. The wide straight backs and comfortable seats are upholstered in a striped fabric in ochre, beige, and blue-grey tones, secured with a row of decorative nails. The whole piece exhibits a beautiful warm patina of walnut and an imposing silhouette, characteristic of furniture inspired by the 17th century. Period: 19th century Style: Louis XIII.
