Set of 2 Vintage Otagiri Japanese Ceramic Mugs – Viking Ship & Folk Art Des

A delightful pair of vintage ceramic mugs by Otagiri, made in Japan, featuring wonderfully detailed illustrations inspired by medieval and Nordic folklore. One mug depicts a Viking longship sailing through swirling waves, complete with a dragon-headed prow, decorative shields and a magnificent lion emblem on its green sail. The other features a richly ornamented traditional wagon above a charming countryside scene with small houses, rolling hills, birds and stylised trees. Both mugs are finished in a warm ivory glaze, with intricate illustrations in earthy shades of brown, olive green, black and muted yellow. Their slightly tapered cylindrical shape and generously curved handles give them a classic retro character.
