Elegant cave rat lamp. Antique style with Doric column. Gilded bronze. France. 1950s/60s. Finely decorated base with a garland of vine leaves and grape clusters. Handle in acanthus leaf, Doric column topped with its capital and chiselled dish edge. Rare conical false candle. Ecru textile lampshade lined with frieze trim echoing the chiselling of the column. Light beige fabric wiring (1.5m) Recent plug and switch, compliant with standards. Standard B22 bayonet bulb holder (max 40w) or LED, not included. In good condition: Only a few spots of gilding on the inner part of the base. A few minor creases and a small stain on the lampshade, otherwise clean.
