Solid Brass Table Lamp by Oscar Antonssons for Ystad-Metall, Sweden, 1940s

In the 1940’s Ystad-Metall launched a series of bronze and bronzed objects designed by Oscar Antonssons under the name “Ystad-Brons”. Among other items they launched a candle holder of which the mold was also used to cast heavy solid brass table lamp bases. Not many lamps were cast, making it a rare piece. This lamp is a wonderful example with beautiful patina and carrying the full marks to identify it as a 1940s product from the workshops of Ystad-Metall.The lamp is in great condition with no damages and minor signs of wear. The lamp is suitable for an E27 light source. The lamp shade is not included.
