Beautiful Sapporo dining table in walnut wood by the Italian designer and actor Mario Marenco (1933-2019), featuring high-level craftsmanship in woodwork. The table is constructed from solid walnut with a beautiful grain and beveled edges, adding refinement and elegance to the design. The tilted legs are not directly connected to the table but are secured to a bar supporting the top, giving the tabletop a floating appearance. This statement piece will bring character to any room. Mario Marenco was born in 1933, studied architecture in Naples, and won research grants for Stockholm and Chicago. In 1960, he opened his own architecture and design studio, Studio DEGW, in Rome. During his career, he taught at the University of Sydney and worked with companies such as B&B, Arflex, and Poltrana Frau. He is also known for his television appearances, but his career as an actor and humorist never overshadowed his talent for design. Designer: Mario Marenco. Manufacturer: Mobil Girgi. Period: 1970s.
