Vintage sculptural ceramic vase from the 1950s-1960s with a very dynamic modernist silhouette. It features asymmetrical organic lines, with an oblique corolla neck and two cut-out handles wrapping around the body. The glazing work offers a superb play of flamed drips transitioning from a glossy black at the base to shades of brown, moss green, and water green inside the neck. The base bears the shape number 343 engraved in relief in the clay. Origin / Style: Art ceramics from Northern Europe (West Germany / Belgium). Period: Circa 1950 – 1960.
