Gien plates France

A springtime feel on your tables with this set of 5 vintage plates from Gien, France: lovely floral patterns on the edge, bouquets in shades of burgundy red, yellow, green, and blue, and charming blue borders. Stamped Gien France with the castle with three towers, which allows dating this production to the period 1938-1960. In good condition, with a slight chip on the underside of one of the plates but not very noticeable. As with some ironstone plates, time has marbled the colour of the plates, but this gives them the charm of the old. Diameter 19.5 cm.
