A very beautiful, extra-large (approximately 15-18 liters) stoneware jar for oil, cider, or other uses, made in the 19th century by hand in Puisaye, France. It is semi-glazed/enameled. The large, bulbous body has a short neck flanked by two large, rounded handles. The stoneware is light gray/terracotta, with the remainder of the body glazed in shades of russet, rust, light khaki, beige, and gray, with some traces of glaze remaining. It measures approximately 35-38 cm in total height and 27-28 cm in maximum diameter. In very good condition, it shows some minor imperfections and signs of age, including some scratches, small dents, and scuffs. Overall, it is a harmonious piece. Weight approximately 5-6 kg.
