Very beautiful antique flower pot in polychrome glazed earthenware, attributed to Théodore Lefront, a ceramist active in Fontainebleau in the second half of the 19th century. Particularly charming decoration depicting a farmyard scene with a rooster and a hen in front of a house, surrounded by polychrome relief flowers on a nuanced brown background. The piece bears the monogram TL in relief under the base, as well as the number 535. This TL mark is documented on several ceramics attributed to Théodore Lefront. There is a drainage hole at the bottom, allowing it to be used as a flower pot. A beautiful piece of French Impressionist ceramics, decorative and uncommon. An antique object showing signs of age, including enamel cracks and small signs of use visible in the photos. Please take a good look at all the photos to appreciate its condition. Dimensions: Height: 17.5 cm. Opening diameter: 9.5 cm. Base diameter: 8 cm. Weight: approximately 650 g.
