Magnificent rooster and its faience vase made in france in the 1880s. This majolica composition is both a flower vase and a rooster sculpture. This superb piece of faience with wonderful details is hand-painted with a vivid palette of red, blue, green, beige and red. Remarkable attitude of the rooster, dramatized and proud, tail in a plume and chest out. Signed on the base by the artist p. Comolera. Some damage and cracks but generally good condition for the age of this piece. Remarkable quality and rare decorative object.
