Sculptural Wooden Counter or Bar, Italy, 1970s

The counter, with its extraordinary geometric rigor, comes from a prominent shop in the center of Florence and features a bold and original design. Crafted from warm amber-toned wood, it features a structure composed of overlapping rectangular blocks that taper toward the top, creating a stepped effect, reminiscent of the shape of a Ziggurat. Given its size, it can be used as a counter in the hall of a hotel, as a counter in a shop, or as a counter in a very large kitchen, giving style and uniqueness to the domestic space. Two examples are available. Items made of Rosewood are subject to a special export process that may extend the delivery time by an additional 2 to 4 weeks. Produced in Italy during the 1970s, the item shows very good condition with wear consistent with age and use.
