After a career in the infantry where he attained the rank of lieutenant, then in the gendarmerie, Charles Corcuff settled in Lesneven in 1929, the homeland of his wife, whom he married in 1896. From the 1930s onwards, he dedicated himself entirely to drawing (pencil, charcoal or pen, but also watercolour and oil).
