Ancient Military Tableau - Capture of a Prussian Flag After Édouard Detail

This superb period painting represents a heroic charge of the 4th Dragoon Regiment during the Napoleonic Empire, led by a standard-bearer brandishing the Imperial Eagle. The scene, full of dynamism, is directly inspired by a composition from 1892 by the famous military painter Édouard Detaille, whose signature is reproduced in the bottom left. The painting is also signed and dated in the bottom right by the artist "Angèle 1907", indicating a high-quality work by a student or tribute created at the very beginning of the 20th century. The whole piece is presented in its period wooden frame with corners adorned with gilded bronze, perfectly highlighting the historical character of the work. Condition as per photos.
