These armchairs, designed in the style of Charles Dudouyt and made from solid wood with woven straw seats and backs, were produced in France in the 1940s. The design features twisted front legs and stretchers, a detail often associated with Dudouyt's rustic and sculptural work. The slightly curved armrests and simple frame give the chairs balanced proportions, while the woven straw introduces a natural texture that contrasts with the darker wood tone. This type of piece reflects mid-century rustic style, combining traditional woodworking techniques with simple, robust forms. The visible wood grain and handmade straw contribute to the chairs' understated decorative character. Overall good condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use. Recently polished. Each piece is carefully cleaned and, when necessary, restored in keeping with its original design. Light signs of use and a natural patina may remain, as an integral part of its history.
