UNIQUE COLLECTIBLE PIECE ON THE MARKET – UNAVAILABLE IN THIS CONDITION. For sale, an exceptional and extremely rare pair of "Eames Shell Chairs" (Armchair model with armrests), designed by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller. These pieces have a remarkable and certified historical provenance: produced in the 1970s, they still bear their original orange sticker from Interform, the historical exclusive distributor of the Herman Miller brand in France (162 Boulevard Voltaire, Paris). Features and Condition: • Exceptional conservation state: Pieces from an institutional stock that have clearly never been used ("New Old Stock / Deadstock"). The condition is close to new, a true time capsule for collectors and interior designers. • Shell: Original fiberglass, Parchment color (Cream), with the period polish and beautifully visible glass filaments under light. No dents, no cracks, no discoloration. The white vinyl edging surrounding the shell is impeccable. • Fabric: Original full upholstery in high-end textured Hopsak fabric (brown/anthracite two-tone weave) designed by the famous designer Alexander Girard. The fabric is perfectly clean, taut, with no wear or distortion (especially on the edges of the armrests). • Base: Original fixed institutional model ("Floor-Mount Pedestal Base") in white cast aluminum. The circular base plate has its 4 factory drillings to be screwed directly onto a floor, slab, or on a weighting base (solid wood or metal) for use in a living room without drilling the original floor. The rubber shock mounts are healthy, flexible, and not cracked. The pivoting axis mechanism is smooth and complete. A unique opportunity to acquire a period pair in "competition" condition that is absolutely unavailable on the market.
