Chair Dal or The Fonda by Ray and Charles Eames, 1960s

This armchair is one of two new fibreglass models designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1961, at the request of Alexander Girard, who needed seating for his new Manhattan restaurant, La Fonda Del Sol. The original upholstery has been removed due to damage. However, the fibreglass is in very good condition. The base is also in very good condition. A beautiful piece of vintage furniture.
